Members of C-Transmedia strengthen research and research-creation in Arts and Humanities.

C-Transmedia welcomes new research groups, graduate programs and an outreach journal to renew ideas and face future challenges in the Arts and Humanities.

The C-Transmedia scientific committee officially approved the integration of new researchers to the center, such as the research groups CogniciĆ³n y EducaciĆ³n and Innov-AcciĆ³n Educativa, from the Department of Educational Studies, Lenguas y Discursos from the Department of Foreign Languages, the Doctorado en DiseƱo y CreaciĆ³n and the Revista Kepes.

The objective of this partnership is focused on strengthening the processes of inter- and transdisciplinarity, research-creation and transmedia appropriation of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI).

These new partnerships have the particularity that thanks to their creative force, diversity and expertise they can propitiate the generation of new knowledge and the construction of new projects that allow to reach not only scientific standards of Minciencias but also contribute to the sustainable development goals of the United Nations Agenda 2030.

The research group Innov-AcciĆ³n Educativa, led by Josefina Quintero Corzo and the group EducaciĆ³n y CogniciĆ³n led by Oscar Eugenio Tamayo Alzate of the Department of Educational Studies focus on the development of teaching, learning and entrepreneurship processes, seeking to improve the quality of educational processes. Lenguas y Discursos group, led by Liliana del Pilar Gallego of the Department of Foreign Languages, has as its vision the training in languages, promoting literature and its teaching; aspects that generate value to the strategic plan of C-Transmedia and that represent a great support in the promotion of critical thinking and research for the reinvention of pedagogical methodologies in educational projects – E-learning that are carried out from the center.

Additionally, the Doctorado en DiseƱo y CreaciĆ³n and the Revista Kepes join forces to contribute to design research processes, exchange knowledge and co-create strategies for the social appropriation of knowledge. Also strengthening scientific dissemination, taking into account the scientific and editorial quality of Kepes, which continues to be rated A1, the only journal of the University of Caldas in this ranking.

The challenge in 2023 for the members and researchers of C-Transmedia, as managers of social transformation, will be to continue generating new knowledge through transdisciplinarity and transmediality.
