Discussion in innovation and leadership for educational change

On Friday, August 27, experts in the field of technology, innovation and leadership will discuss in the virtual panel Innovation and Leadership for Educational Change

The dialogue will take place in the framework of the opening of the Course on Innovation and Digital Competencies for Education: from Teachers for Teachers, a virtual knowledge transfer project in partnership between the Secretary of Education of Caldas and the C-Transmedia Research Center of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Caldas. 

Gabriel Sánchez Zinny, former Minister of Education of Buenos Aires, Argentina; Sindey Bernal, Colombian teacher nominated for best teacher in the world in 2020 (Global Teacher Prize of Varkey Foundation); Ángelo de la Hoz, best teacher of Caldas in 2018; and Helmer Quintero, doctor in education and member of one of the research groups linked to the C-Transmedia Research Center, will participate in the event. 

Likewise, Fabio Arias Orozco, Secretary of Education of Caldas, Claudia Jurado Grisales, dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and Héctor Fabio Torres, director of the C-Transmedia Research Center will be part of the event that will be moderated by Darío Arenas and María Paula Jaramillo, C-Transmedia researchers.

“Educational change happens from the bottom up and for this we need teachers to be first-rate protagonists,” said former minister Gabriel Sánchez Zinny, who is currently a member of the Working Group on Innovation and Technology in Education of the U.S.-based NGO Inter-American Dialogue.
