This Friday, November 26, the Office of Transfer of Research Results OTRI N-Lace of the University of Caldas and the National University of Colombia, Manizales headquarters, held the seminar Spin-off: Inspire, Innovate, Connect, in which participated the Director of C-Transmedia Research Center, Hector Fabio Torres Cardona and five more representatives of spin-offs of Universities of Manizales and Caldas. 

During the event, innovation projects, knowledge transfer and sophistication of the entrepreneurial ecosystem that are bringing closer the conversation between University, Business, State and Civil Society were presented. 

The C-Transmedia Research Center, an initiative of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Caldas, specifically talked about the K-Share project, which seeks to democratize access to knowledge in the world through the deployment of transmedia strategies, which this year won a call with MinCiencias and Creame.

According to Héctor Fabio Torres, “starting from the C-Transmedia research line of Social Appropriation of Science, Technology and Innovation, we began to work on creative alternatives for the transfer of knowledge through a platform that becomes a network for researchers and scientific consultation for the whole world. The central idea of K-Share is to generate complex content in a simple language through digital content such as videos, designs and synthesizing data in posters”. 

Finally, in the talk, the challenges that universities face in the knowledge economy, how to consolidate projects with a business vision that integrate academic base and market projection, intellectual property, among other aspects, were presented.

The event is part of the Plan of Retribution of the Spin-Off of the University of Caldas and the National University of Colombia, Manizales, in the process of strengthening and scaling led by the consulting firm Creame.
