Objectives
To delve into the cognitive interrelationships of design, taking as a basis principles of vision science, information systems, communication theories and information technologies.
- To deepen the relationship between design and knowledge.
- To determine how design contributes to reduce cognitive complexity and make complex phenomena more comprehensible.
- To define the role of audiovisual rhetoric, based on the combination of multimedia resources.
- To define research policies related not only to the production of knowledge, but also to the process of its distribution and assimilation.
- To deepen in the concepts of ergonomics and perceptual processes applied to design.
- Use the ViveLab and the Virtual Environments Laboratory-Media Lab Manizales, to carry out sensory-cognitive tests in the development of projects.
- Strengthen the research of the Master’s and Doctorate in Design and Creation led by the group.
